The device delivers accurate, per-vehicle data across up to 12 lanes from a single pole-mounted device, reducing the number of sensors required for wide roadway coverage. At the event, the company is emphasising how this approach helps agencies simplify infrastructure, lower installation costs and streamline long-term maintenance.
The system features a modern, IP-native architecture with a single Cat5x or Cat6x connection and built-in Wi-Fi, enabling fast, on-site configuration through a browser-based interface. Virtual aiming tools further reduce calibration time, allowing crews to complete installation in minutes rather than hours.
For agencies concerned about long-term data control, RTMS Echo supports industry-standard NTCIP protocols and API integration. This allows agencies to incorporate detection data directly into existing traffic management systems without proprietary middleware, avoiding vendor lock-in.
The technology has recently been deployed at scale by major US highway agencies in Florida and Tennessee, replacing hundreds of detection locations following field evaluation.
