Access Point
Two-way communications that talks sense into traffic

Access Points (APs) relay detection data to roadside controllers, remote servers, traffic management systems, or other vehicle detection applications. TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS

  • Easy installation
  • Radio signal quality measurement
  • Synchronized timebase for all supported sensors
  • No calibration or adjustments needed

Features and Functions

The Sensys Networks Access Point (AP) is an intelligent LINUX device used to maintain two-way communications with in-ground wireless sensors, and battery-powered repeaters. Using either wired and/or wireless connections, APs relay data to roadside controllers, remote servers, traffic management systems, or other vehicle detection applications.

  • Radio communications
  • Sensor data relay and processing
  • Data storage
  • Firmware upgrades
  • Synchronized timebase for all supported sensors

FlexConnect

The FlexConnect provides an SDLC interface for APs, replacing the functionality of one or more EX cards with up to 64 channels. This reduces system costs and frees up card slots in controller cabinets.

Contact Closure (cc) and Expansion (EX) Cards

Easy installation — plugs directly into input file or detector rack without adapter. Supports up to four channels per card. Provides pulse, presence, delay, and extension modes.
